Livox was mentioned by Ken Kelzer, General Motors’s vice president of global vehicle components and subsystems, who answered some questions to Digital Trend, which is technology news and information website that publishes news, reviews about technologies and consumer electronic products.

In his interview Mr. Kelzer explained about how General Motors is preparing for an electric, autonomous, connected future, by developing technologies to create electrified, autonomous, or connected vehicles.

They support initiative like MIT Solve, which helps them to find new and innovative solutions to world’s problems, they hope Livox, which has an artificial intelligence platform for people to understand nonverbal communication, would be an element that would help into an autonomous shared vehicle, where there is no one in it, in order we understand and be able to send and receive information back and forth.

Besides, they bring industry onto campus, and hosted a Bluetooth hackathon with MIT students. They found four freshmen students that never really coded in this space, and they will have the opportunity in working on this project. However there are some problems that they need to deal with…
